Hoss Cartwright’s group of Patriot Riders and others conducted a remembrance ceremony at the Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Frankfort, KY. Students from Western Hills HS in the AP History Class attended. Each POW/MIA was honored by a reading describing their service, capture, or loss from those in attendance. This was followed by a Yellow Rose being placed near their name, behind the gnomon of the sundial.
Several speakers followed thanking the students for attending and the freedom these men and women represent by their sacrifice.
VFW Post 4075 provided a Honor Guard that fired a 21 gun salute, followed by the Playing of Taps. The students were then fed lunch by VFW Post 4075.
